WHAT'S NOT INCLUDED?

Adventure Sport injuries

Adventures can give you an adrenaline rush, but when coupled with accidents, it can be hazardous. Our policy does not cover accidents encountered while participating in adventure sports.

Self-inflicted injuries

You might think of causing injury to your precious self, but we don’t want you to hurt yourself. Our policy does not cover self-imposed injuries.

War

War can be disastrous and unfortunate. However, our policy does not cover any claim that are caused due to wars.

Participation in defense operations

Our policy does not cover accidents while you are participating in defense (Army/Navy/Air Force) operations.

Venereal or Sexually transmitted diseases

We do understand the criticality of your disease. However, our policy does not cover venereal or sexually transmitted9 diseases.

Treatment of Obesity or Cosmetic Surgery

Treatment of obesity or cosmetic surgery is not eligible for coverage under your insurance policy.For detailed inclusion and exclusion please refer the sales brochure/policy wordings

Understanding "Deductibles"

What is Deductible?

Deductible is a fixed amount paid out-of-pocket by an insured for the medical expenses before an insurance company pays the balance cost.

What is Aggregate Deductible?

Sum Total of all the claims incurred by the insured during a policy period.

How does Aggregate Deductible Work?

Suppose you have bought a my health Medisure Super Top-up policy with Rs. 3 lac aggregate deductible and 7 lacs Sum Insured. In case during the policy period there is 1 or more claim more than Rs. 3 lacs then Super Top-up will pay you the balance amount incurred upto maximum 7 lacs.

1. What is a Super Top up?

It is a health insurance plan that strengthens your existing plan to give you a higher sum insured and a wider cover to meet your medical expenses. You can take it as an independent policy or as a top up to your existing plan

2. What is the need of buying a Super Top Up?

In cases where your existing medical cover is not sufficient enough to cover your medical expenses, Super Top Up helps increase the sum insured and provider wider coverage at an affordable premium.

3. What is deductible & how does it operate?

Deductible is the amount you pay towards your health care expenses before your insurance plan starts to pay. The amount of deductible varies as per the plan and can be crossed in single claim or in multiple claims in a policy year

4. What are the minimum and maximum deductible in the plan?

You can opt for a minimum of Rs. 4,00,000 and maximum of Rs. 5,00,000 aggregate deductible in this policy

5. What do you mean by Pre-Existing Diseases?

Pre-existing diseases refers to any condition, ailment, injury or illness that you have been diagnosed with or had symptoms of 36 months before taking your policy.

6. Will my Pre-existing diseases be covered in Super Top Up?

Pre-existing diseases will be covered in Super Top Up only after 36 months of continuous coverage.

7. Is there any waiting period?

Yes, there is a waiting period of 36 months (or 3 years) for before Super Top Up starts covering the pre-existing diseases.

8. Do I need to undergo a medical test for buying this policy?

No pre-policy medical check-up is required for individuals’ up to 55 years* of age, subject to no health adversity. However, beyond that age you may need to go through some routine check-ups.

9. Are there any special discounts available under the policy?

You get a 5% discount on opting for two-year policy and a 10% Family Discount when three or more family members are covered under individual sum insured bas
