With the arrival of 2022, travellers have already started adding destinations to their travel bucket lists. There are beautiful mountains, exotic beaches, wildlife to explore; however, a trip on a cruise ship is all together with a different experience. This year, if you are planning for an international trip, you should check out some of the best cruise ships that will leave you with unforgettable memories. Considering that the coronavirus pandemic has not ended yet and with the emergence of omicron, a COVID-19 variant of concern, it is necessary to buy a travel insurance policy to secure your trip on cruise ships.
7 Best International Cruise Ships to Travel in 2022
1. Viking Polaris
Viking Polaris are different from Viking's previous vessels. The 378-passenger sister ships represent Viking's entry into expedition cruising. This cruise will introduce new spaces designed with expedition cruising in mind. Polaris will also have two six-guest submarines that feature revolving seats and 270-degree spherical windows.
2. Wonder of the Seas
This cruise will be the fifth in Royal Caribbean's Oasis Class, and it will be the line's largest ship to date when it debuts in March. Wonder of the Seas is capable of holding 6,988 passengers. The Vue, which is a cantilevered pool bar, is an all-new concept for Royal Caribbean.
3. Virgin Voyages
Valiant Lady and Resilient Lady belonging to Virgin Voyages' second and third ships will be launching in 2022 in Europe. Both ships designs will be near carbon copies of the line's first ship, Scarlet Lady. Both these ships will have dining that is included in the cruise fare. Cuisines will range from Korean and Mexican to a drag queen brunch spot, and beach-club inspired tapas joint. Apart from this, you'll also find two fitness centres and an outdoor athletics Club, all dedicated to helping cruisers stay fit and healthy on board.
4. Evrima
Evrim will be the 298-passenger yacht-like ship whose design brings the upscale brand's distinguished atmosphere to the sea. There will be five restaurants to choose from, including Mistral, an al fresco Mediterranean-inspired venue, and S.E.A., an extra-fee restaurant created by Sven Elverfeld. It will also provide plenty of space for lounging for those who wish to relax.
5. Disney Wish
This cruise ship is one of the most anticipated cruise ships for 2022. The first new ship from Disney Cruise Line since Disney Fantasy launched in 2012, Disney Wish will be the first of three new ships. It will comprise 1,254 staterooms, of which 70% will have a balcony, and 451 will offer a connecting door. That's not all; there will also be a water coaster ride, AquaMouse, which will combine animated shorts, lighting and special effects. There will also be a Toy Story-themed pool space for younger kids and a "Frozen" Restaurant where the "Frozen"-themed dining venue will feature characters from the movie.
6. Carnival Celebration
Carnival Celebration can accommodate 5,374-passengers and comprises six themed zones, each with its eateries, bars and attractions. It will also have a two-deck-high pool bar and a roller coaster experience at sea.
7. MSC Seascape
MSC Seascape launching in 2022, will be the second Seaside EVO-class ship (and the fourth in the Seaside-class). Like sister-ship, MSC Seashore, Seascape can carry 5,877 guests. However, according to the line, nearly 70% of the public spaces will be completely re-designed to look different from MSC Seashore. MSC Seascape will have 139,930-square-feet of outdoor space, including a 1,772-square-foot promenade with al fresco dining. Apart from this, there will be onboard activities with an F1 racecar simulator and a virtual reality river rafting simulator.
Conclusion
In 2022, if you are planning to travel abroad, you should indeed look forward to taking a sea journey on the above-mentioned international cruise ships.
