Chinese Automaker BYD Achieves New Milestone in India, Delivers 200 Units of Seal in Single Day

Electric Chinese automaker BYD announced on 27th May 2024 that the company has achieved a new milestone by delivering 200 units of Seal in single day. BYD Seal EV claims to have received more than 1000 bookings in just two months in India after the launch. The Chinese automaker which sells models like e6, Atto 3 and Seal in India, claims to have delivered 200 units of Seal in key cities like Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kochi and Hyderabad on 26th May.

The BYD Seal EV is available in three different variants in India, which are Dynamic, Premium and Performance. The electric car is priced between Rs 41 lac and Rs 53 lac (ex-showrrom price). Speaking on the milestone achievement, Sr. Vice President of Electric Passenger Vehicle Business at BYD India states that the electric sedan’s strong reception in the country underscores the growing demand for premium electric vehicles that offer a seamless blend of performance, sustainability, style and value.

The BYD Seal promises up to 650km of range on single charge for the Premium variant, while the car is capable of accelerating 0-100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds for the Performance variant. The sedan is available in both rear-wheel and all-wheel drive options.
