DISA Global Solutions Data Breach Exposes Personal Information of 3.3 Million Individuals

In a significant cybersecurity incident, DISA Global Solutions, a prominent Texas-based employment screening and compliance services provider, suffered a data breach affecting more than 3.3 million individuals. The breach occurred between February 9 and April 22, 2024, during which unauthorized access to a portion of DISA’s network compromised sensitive personal information. The exposed data includes names, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, other government identification numbers, and financial account information. Upon discovering the intrusion on April 22, 2024, DISA initiated a comprehensive forensic investigation and has since begun notifying affected individuals. The company is offering one year of complimentary credit monitoring and identity restoration services to those impacted. While there is currently no evidence of misuse of the compromised data, DISA advises individuals to remain vigilant for potential identity theft or fraud. This incident underscores the critical importance of robust cybersecurity measures in protecting sensitive personal information.
