In India, several states are facing extreme heat due to the rise in temperature and climate changes as predicted by the Indian Meteorological Department before. Recently, IMD has predicted a mix of rainfall and heatwave across several states in the coming days. These forecasts play a crucial role in helping people prepare to face the day with precautions. The forecast indicates above-normal heat waves in plane regions which could continue for 10 or 20 days. The states that can be affected the most are the northern regions of Karnataka, Odisha West Bengal, Jharkhand, Telangana and parts of Andhra Pradesh with warm temperatures at night. However, regions in northeast India can expect moderate rainfall and thunderstorms till 9th April. States like Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Tripura could experience widespread light to moderate rainfall.
