About Program

HDFC ERGO organized health check-up camps in several villages of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. These camps aimed to raise awareness about the importance of health and introduce the concept of health insurance to people. During the initiative, 47 health check-up camps were conducted across 12 districts, with over 10,000 attendees. One of the health camps was organized in Kurinji Padi block in Cuddalore District, and it was attended by government officials, dedicated healthcare professionals, and Dr. Sarah Zeline Paul - Joint Director Health, Mr. Subramaniyan - Deputy Block Development Officer, and Mr. Shanmugham - Revenue Officer. At these health camps, we provided essential medical attention to nearly 200 people, conducted comprehensive eye check-ups, distributed essential medicines to all attendees, conducted blood sugar and BMI checks, and ensured personalized attention and health advice for everyone.

HDFC ERGO conducted an Insurance Week event from 18th to 22nd December 2023 in all districts of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry to educate the public and distributors about the significance of various types of General Insurance. The discussions focused on the various aspects of Health, Motor, and Home Insurance on different days, and the event concluded by emphasizing the importance of customer service. We also implemented an outreach program near our key offices via pamphlet distribution and newspaper inserts by inviting people to our branches to participate in this initiative.

The Virtual flag-off event witnessed participation from over 75+ attendees. The guest list included Notable IRDAI officials, Nodal officer of Puducherry, fellow insurers and HDFC ERGO team. The event featured insightful dialogues from key stakeholders, focusing on enhancing General Insurance awareness.

• Engagement with walk-in customers about Motor, Health, Home & MSME Products, Overall Insurance awareness and customer Services

• Educated women SHG group about various General Insurance products, including Health, Home, MSME, PA and Motor Products

• Actively engaged with individuals from small business groups on General Insurance products

Here are glimpses from our Insurance Week initiative in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

HDFC ERGO launched the entire rural outreach program on January 22nd 2024. This program will run for 52 days and cover 392 villages and 40 towns in Ramanathapuram, Virudhunagar, and Puducherry districts. The on-ground activities will educate people in rural areas about General Insurance and its related products. The program is designed to increase awareness and knowledge of insurance among rural communities. The On-ground awareness activities consist of:

1. Promotion through a mobile van

2. Conducting Choupal meetings with Self Help Groups in villages

3. Leaflet distribution at Retail Outlets and Kirana shops

4. School contact program and conveying the importance of General Insurance to school students studying in 7th to 9th grade

5. Mohalla meet in villages.
