It’s worth noting that smaller kidney stones might not cause pain or any noticeable symptoms; these “silent stones” typically pass out of your body in your urine. These can be dissolved by adequate fluid intake and medications suggested by your doctor. Larger kidney stones that are difficult to pass through urine will require surgery.
