In Gujurat, under the “Fit Media, Fit India” Campaign the Information and Broadcasting Department organized health check-up camps for journalists across the state, conducting health check-ups for a total of 1,532 journalists. The initiative was take with The Red Cross which remains committed to ensuring the health of journalists who work tirelessly day and night for the welfare of society.
Recognizing the critical contribution of journalists, the State Government’s Information and Broadcasting Department has prioritized the welfare of journalists, providing various facilities, including insurance coverage. To further ensure the health and well-being of journalists in Gujarat, the Information and Broadcasting Department, in collaboration with the Gujarat Red Cross Society, launched the “Fit Media, Fit India” campaign.
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, Secretary of the Information and Broadcasting Department Smt. Avantika Singh, and Director of Information Shri K.L. Bachani, district offices of the Information Department organized free health check-up camps. A total of 1,532 journalists and media personnel benefitted from these camps, which offered: blood tests, X-rays, and ECGs, Vitamin D, Vitamin B12, cholesterol, thyroid, and diabetes screening, Health guidance and lifestyle tips to promote well-being.
