As per the policy, you can file the claim for baggage delay if a common carrier delays your baggage for more than the specified period. However, expenses incurred due to delayed baggage on chartered flights or the return journey are not covered under baggage delay cover. Also, you will not get coverage for baggage delay cover if reimbursement of expenses is already done under the baggage loss section.
If the common carrier will provide any compensation, the coverage for expenses incurred due to luggage delay will not be covered.

Reimbursement for only expenses incurred for buying essential items like medicines, toiletries, etc will be borne by the insurer.
