On the other hand, the 1.5l turbo petrol engine variant allows a transmission of either a 6-speed MT or a 7-speed DSG. The power output is 150PS while the torque is 250 Nm @ 1600-3500 rpm. The average mileage ranges between 18.12 kmpl. and 20.8 kmpl.

The engine displacement capacity is 1498 cc and possesses 4 cylinders. The optimum power output is 147.51 bhp @ 5000-6000 rpm. It is a 5-seater vehicle with an optimum fuel tank capacity of 45 ltrs. And remains equipped with low fuel warning light, heater, trunk light, vanity mirror, and accessory power outlet.

The front suspension is Mc-Pherson with a stabiliser bar while the rear one is a twist beam axle. It features an electric steering type with a telescopic and tilt steering column. The front brake is disc while the rear one is drum, offering a braking capacity of 40.66 m and tested to reach 100-0 kmph in 9.03 seconds.

The length of a Volkswagen Virtus is 4561 mm, the width is 1752 mm, the height is 1507 mm, the wheelbase is 2651 mm, with a boot space of 521 litres.

A standard variant of Volkswagen Virtus remains equipped with 2 airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, a camera for reverse parking, all-wheel disc brakes, an electronic stability program, and ISOFIX mounts. The automatic variants have a hill hold assist.
