Follow these steps to register for the Covid-19 vaccine

On May 1, the third phase of India’s largest vaccination drive began. Citizens above the age of 18 are eligible to register for the Covid-19 vaccine.
Vaccination for people over the age of 45 will continue. In India, the Covishield vaccine costs INR 400 per dose for public hospitals and INR 600 per dose for private hospitals. Covaxin costs INR 600 per dose in the states and INR 1,200in private hospitals. Several states are offering the vaccine at no cost. Besides Covishield and Covaxin, the country will soon use Russia’s Sputnik vaccine.
You can sign up for Cowin or the Aarogya Setu App. The appointment will be given based on the availability of vaccines at the vaccination centre. You will be able to see the minimum age for every centre and book accordingly. You can schedule your appointment if the age displayed is 18 or older.
During this phase, there will be no walk-in registrations. Registration will only be available through the Cowin website or app. The process is quick and simple. Here’s how you can register for the Covid-19 vaccine.
Registration through the CoWin Portal
Go to www.cowin.gov.in
You will have to provide your mobile number
You will receive an OTP on the number to create your account
Once you enter the OTP, click on Verify
The registration page will open
On this page, you will have to choose one photo ID proof. You need to carry it with you to the centre
Fill in details about your name, gender, age, and upload the identity document
Now click on Register
You will be able to see the account details now
It is possible to add more people linked to this mobile number. You can add a maximum of four people.
If you want to add, click on the “Add More” button
If you want to proceed with your appointment, click on ‘Schedule Appointment’
Now look for the vaccination centre near you using the state, district or pin code
You will see the date and availability here
Click on ‘Book’
Once you successfully complete the booking, you will get the message on the mobile number
You will have to show the confirmation details at the centre
Registration through the Aarogya Setu app
Open the homepage of the app
Go on CoWin
Now you will see four options- Information about the vaccine, vaccination, certificate and vaccination dashboard
Here you need to click on Vaccination and then click on Register Now
Provide the mobile number and proceed to verify
You need to enter the OTP here
Now click on verify
After the verification is complete, upload a photo ID card
Provide details like the age, birth year, and gender
It is possible to register a maximum of 4 people through the app
Here also you can check for the vaccination centres by state, block, district and pin code. You will see the availability and date
Select “Book” option
You will get an SMS with the details of your appointment
