For instance, in case you lose your baggage or there is a medical emergency, your insurer will come to your rescue.

So, shortlist a few reputed insurance companies, browse and compare the plans they offer and zero in on a suitable one.  You easily can buy travel insurance online or through an agent. Make sure you take the insurance plan within a specified number of days (usually 10-15) of making the initial trip deposit.

Conclusion

Travelling during the COVID-19 pandemic requires a more thoughtful approach than before to stay safe and prevent the spread. Apart from taking all precautions, you must also check the travel protocols of the city/state you are travelling to. Also, take a suitable travel insurance plan for those travel-related emergencies. In case you need financial assistance for medical treatment, extended hotel accommodation, etc., your insurer will cover the expenses.
