With petrol pumps placed far apart in the hinterlands, the fuel tank capacity is 10.5 litres with a single cylinder and double valves. The seat height is 791 mm,  and the ground clearance of 162mm. The options in the braking system are that a disc brake can be availed by paying Rs. 10, 000 additionally.

It is important to note that the traffic department has made it mandatory as per the Government of India rules that all bikes need bike insurance in two flavours: (1) Comprehensive cover and (2) Third party bike insurance. Third party bike insurance is mandatory and takes care of all third party liabilities, including the accidental death of the third party. The comprehensive insurance package can be bought from HDFC ERGO, which includes complete coverage, including bike theft. The vehicle is unauthorised to roll on the roads without some form of insurance. The reviews of the bike are quite impressive, with a 4.4-star rating. The ‘performance’ of the bike is a noteworthy 4 star, and similarly so for ‘value for money .’People are very happy about the mileage as it far exceeds the claim of 65 kmpl.

Top 2 Competitors of Honda CB Shine 

The two top competitors of Honda Shine are Hero Splendor and TVS Raider. The Splendor from the Hero stable resembles the old Hero CD 100 model and is immensely popular with budget-conscious riders. The mileage is strikingly similar to Honda Shine, but the engine capacity is 100 cc.

The other popular competitor TVS Raider is beautifully designed and is equipped with a 125 cc engine. However, the price is around Rs. 10,000 more than the Honda Shine bike. The Raider is more powerful than the Honda Shine regarding torque and bhp, but the mileage could be more economical. TVS claims the Raider to be having a fuel economy of 65 kmpl.

The Honda CB Shine has received wide acclaim among bike riders in the economy segment. It is considered an ideal bike for city roads and hinterlands. It is undoubtedly the highest-selling bike in the 125 cc category in India.
