All You Need to Know About Yamaha MT-03

There’s excitement among bike lovers across the country- The Yamaha MT-03 is all set to launch in India! This sports bike is an addition to the Yamaha MT family, joining the MT-07, MT-09, and MT-10 models in the showrooms. The launch is expected to improve the motorcycle ratio in the small-displacement sector of the automobile industry. But sports bikes and Indian roads have never been an ideal pair. Wear and tear aside, the endless road pits and rampant rash driving can give any bike owner sleepless nights! That’s why it is essential to have Yamaha bike insurance in place. In case of any accident, this insurance will have your bike’s back (quite literally!).  Comprehensive bike insurance  will also provide you with injury and theft coverage so you can drive off on your adventures in peace.

Let us know a little more about the enticing features of the Yamaha MT-03 and suitable bike insurance for the same.

5 Things to Know about the Yamaha MT-03

Every new sports bike comes with its charm, and MT-03 is no exception. The market has an element of intrigue for its new features and updates. As a rule, the newer models are generally better and more efficient than their prior sets.

Here, we explain five expected features of the Yamaha MT-03:

1. MT-03 is quite similar to MT-15 V2

MT-03 has a similar LED headlight and DRL as MT-15 V2. So, MT-15 riders may also feel at home with the new MT model.
However, the overall design of MT-03 is beefier and heavier than MT-15. Also, MT-03 offers higher torque and has two cylinders, unlike the one in MT-15.

2. The 321 cc parallel-twin engine

MT-03 boasts a 321cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine, resulting in better heat tolerance for the vehicle. It offers a maximum torque of 29.6Nm at 9000 rpm and has a TCI ignition. Plus, the DOHC engine makes it easier to handle for beginners.

3. MT-03 has a preload-adjustable linked mono shock

The bike has a USD fork and preload-adjustable linked mono-shock. The front breaks are 298mm discs, while the rear ones are 220 mm. The single-rotor and two-piston Akebono with a seamlessly dialled front lever ensure speed balance while riding.

4. Expected price is 3.08 lakhs

The Yamaha MT-03 is expected to launch in December this year with a price range of about 3.5 to 4 lakhs. Ex-showroom pricing can be around 3.08 lakhs. However, the exact pricing will be confirmed once the model is sold.

5. KTM 390 Duke and QJ Motor will be rivals

The BMW G 310 R, Honda CB300R, Kawasaki Z400, KTM 390 Duke, and QJ Motors are expected to be its biggest competitors. KTM 390 is expected to launch in November this year, while QJ Motor SRK 400 are already available in the market.

Why should you consider bike insurance?

Sports bikes are expensive. When investing such a large chunk of money into your passion, it’s an intelligent choice to purchase an insurance. Your precious, flawless adventure bike will soon be on the roads- navigating complex terrains, riding in all kinds of soils and even water bodies. Sports bikes are designed to sustain rugged roads and minor obstacles, but natural calamities like floods and landslides can cause significant damage to the bike. Damage repair is often costly for such bikes, as their spare parts can be costly.

Along with that, adventure bikes are not entirely accident-proof! There are always chances of hitting a rock, slipping off the road, or worse- getting into an accident with another vehicle. Such incidents can burn a big hole in your pocket. Just imagine- third-party liability expenses, bike repair, and hefty hospital bills.

Yamaha bike insurance  takes care of all these expenses for you. It covers third-party costs, accidents and theft repairs, losses due to fire and natural calamities, and even terrorism and strikes damages for the registered owner of the bike.

Road travel opens a path for unforeseen events. Each adventure comes with a risk, and a responsible biker must ensure the safety of his vehicle and those around him. When it comes to  bike insurance , small steps go a long way.

Conclusion

The Yamaha MT-03 will soon hit Indian roads with its liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine and shiny outer surface. It is the complete package, hard to resist even for novice bikers. The bike has a light curb weight, an easy clutch, and an upright riding position. More information will be available as the launch date arrives.
