Indian Bike Week (IBW) 2021 – Everything You Need to Know!

After a two-year hiatus owing to the COVID outbreak, India's biggest bike carnival is back. The IBW 2021 event was a huge success, with tickets selling out a day before the event started. The electrifying environment of this carnival stayed the same as in past seasons, with the exception being the venue. If you are a hardcore bike lover but missed out on this event due to some reason, we have brought you some of the key highlights from the IBW 2021 that will take you through the exhibition.

IBW 2021 Highlights

The key highlights from the IBW 2021 event are as follows:

• IBW is a massive event, or to put it another way, a dedicated platform for two-wheeler manufacturers to showcase their latest models.

• This year's IBW special edition was held at Aamby Valley airstrip, Lonavala, Maharashtra.

• The event took place between the 4th and 5th of December.

• IBW, Asia's largest bike event, also featured food, music, and a huge gathering of bikers from across Asia.

• The event witnessed some big launches from bike manufacturers such as Honda, Kawasaki, etc.

• If everything goes well and the world manages to escape the shadow of the pandemic, the organisers will hold the IBW event in Goa next year, in 2022.

India Bike Week Features

• Bike Display:

The key highlight of this event was a display of classic and vintage bikes, allowing visitors to relive the stages of bike history, especially those from the British era. The display also included Japanese two-strokes and classic motorcycles, as well as the ingenuity and inventiveness of bike builders and modifiers.

• Film Festival and Stunt Show:

The IBW event also featured adventurous stunt performances by some of the best and most promising stunt riders. Apart from the stunt, the event also featured documentaries and a video conference with legendary bike builder Maxwell Hazan, who also addressed the audience.

• Moto Art Collective:

The attendees of this event got the chance to witness some great works of ace photographer Ishaan Bhataiya and the member of Broken Asphalt- Pushkar Patil. Other events that added to the appeal of IBW 2021 included a moto-fashion competition, open-mic sessions, foosball, and more.

• Music and Launches:

To ensure an amazing experience for attendees, IBW 2021 featured music sessions by DJ Gurbax, MIDIval Punditz, and DJ Ishani.

Bike Week 2021 Tickets

• In case you only wished to attend one day of the event, the amount you would have to spend was INR 700 plus GST.

• The ticket would have cost INR 1,200 plus GST for those who wished to attend the entire event (two days).

• Tickets were also available for purchase through www.insider.in and www.paytm.com.

IBW 2021 Bike Launches

Want to know about the event's major launches? Go through the pointers below.

• This year, in terms of new launches, Kawasaki grabbed centre stage, releasing the brand-new retro style Z650RS to kick off the IBW 2021 event.

• Visitors also witnessed the two major launches by bike manufacturing giant Honda. The first is the Hness CB350 Anniversary Edition, which costs INR 2.03 lakhs. The other is the BS6 CB300R, which has a redesigned slip and assist clutch.

• Apart from the above two, Harley Davidson also unveiled the Sportster S, which is priced at INR 15.51 lakhs. The most notable characteristic of this new launch is the 1250T Revolution Max V-twin engine.
