How to do a Deadlift?

Steps to do a deadlift

You can easily do deadlifts by following the steps given below:

1. Stand straight in front of the barbell with your mid-foot under it. Keep your feet shoulder-distance apart.

2. Hinge at your hips and squat down, bending the knees and pushing your butt back. You must stand in a way that your back is flat and torso parallel to the floor.

3. Grab the barbell with both hands. Your knuckles should face upward, and the grip should be shoulder-length apart.

4. Bend your knees further, and stop at the point when your shins touch the bar.

5. Take a deep breath and start lifting the barbell while keeping your chest up.

6. Lift it until your backbone is straight. The barbell will be a little above your knees at this point.

7. Hold it for some time, and do not move your hips and knees.

8. To keep the barbell back on the floor, move your hips and butt back and bend your legs.
