According to a report by CREDAI, Colliers & Liases Foras, Bengaluru saw the highest surge with a 21% YoY increase in housing prices in Q4 2023. The report also mentioned that the growth propelled across eight major cities including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai Metropolitan Region and Pune. The increase in the numbers has been phenomenal and the growth in demand was seen particularly in mid and luxury segments. In Bengaluru the demand for 1BHK apartments was robust, witnessing a 36 percent YoY increase in the IT-dominant zones of the city. Kolkata also saw an 11% YoY rise in housing prices, Hyderabad a 10 %, Delhi-NCR a 9% growth. However, the Mumbai Metropolitan Region witnessed a 4% YoY growth and the sub-markets like the Island City saw a 17% growth YoY, followed by Mumbai and Thane.
