Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Haryana section of the Dwarka Expressway on 11th March, which is expected to improve traffic flow and ease congestion between Delhi and Gurugram on NH-48. Real estate experts believe that this is going to appreciate property and land prices too, around the Gurugram area. They also believe that several luxury, commercial and retail projects might be on the cards that will uplift the real estate portfolio of this satellite city. As the expressway becomes operational prices of residential units will also inch up.
The Haryana section of the expressway has been built at a cost of around Rs 4,100 crores and is aimed to provide direct connectivity to IGI Airport in Delhi and the Gurugram Bypass. The idea behind this expressway was to reduce traffic congestion and provide an alternate link between Delhi and Gurugram. Additionally, the Dwarka Expressway has encouraged the development of residential clusters along the expressway and is evolving as a priority development zone.
