The camper will have a sleeping and dining capacity for four, a kitchen with a mini-fridge and microwave, a restroom with a bio-toilet and shower, running water, an infotainment system, and an optional air-conditioner with a Genset.

1. Manufacturing of Mahindra Bolero Luxury Camper:

The luxury camper is based on the Mahindra Bolero dual cabin camper pickup. Earlier such customizations were done in garages to convert the cabin into a camper but it was illegal. But now with Mahindra manufacturing the campers, these RVs will be legal. The company will provide the vehicle for required modifications. Mahindra in collaboration with the Caravan Manufacturing facility will co-develop and manufacture the high-quality rugged RV for the Indian market. Designing the camper based on a pickup truck will make it easier to drive compared to larger bus-based RVs. The pickup truck has a bed with a payload of up to 1000 kgs, hence carrying a camper will also not create any issues.

2. Mahindra Bolero Luxury Camper Specifications:

Based on the Bolero dual cabin camper pickup, the luxury camper has the same specifications. The camper is powered by a 2.4 ltr turbo-charged diesel engine with 76 ps maximum output and 200 Nm of maximum torque.

3. Pricing:

The pricing is still not announced but if we estimate the price from the base model which is available at Rs. 9 lakhs, the luxury camper will cost at least Rs 12-14 lakhs additional. So the final price will be somewhere between Rs. 21-25 lakhs which is an affordable price compared to the rivals. The company has proposed a rent-based model to launch the luxury camper. The tourist operators can offer the camper at rent to interested travellers looking for a safe private mobility option. No special driving skills or a special license are required to drive these RVs.
