Purchasing a new bike comes with a lot of excitement all around. Whether it’s only you or your friends you, a new bike purchase can bring in a lot of good emotions and vibes. However, amidst all the excitement, one must not forget some of the more fundamental things of bike ownership. The two most important things of new bike ownership are bike registration and Bike insurance When you buy a new bike, it is mandatory to register it with the nearest RTO or Regional Transport Office. Without registering the bike, you cannot ride it on the road unless you want to pay a hefty fine for the same. On buying a new bike, you can either visit the nearest RTO and register your bike or opt to do the process online.
Registration Of New Vehicle
Even if you opt for the online process, you will still have to visit the RTO for some of the formalities. As a standard practice, the RTO visually inspects a vehicle before allowing the registration and eventually providing a registration number to the bike. The process of registration of a vehicle differs a bit if it is done for a commercial vehicle versus a private vehicle. The registration can be carried out either by the owner or the dealership. In most cases, the dealership usually registers the bike before delivery of the same to the new owner. Alternatively, you can take the delivery of the bike and register it with the nearest RTO.
