Unveiling the Hero Xoom 110cc Scooter: Price, Variants, and Exciting Features

Close on the heels of Hero Maestro Edge, a new BS6 engine compliant is the all-new Hero Xoom 110 cc scooter. The Xoom 110 cc has gained immense popularity due to its specifications and unique price offering of Rs. 76 699 for its top variant. The price is Rs. 4000 less than a Honda Activa Smart and cheaper than the TVS Jupiter. Hero Xoom 110cc is poised to be a popular scooter in the Indian market, given its great price points and spectacular performance. Listed here are five very important aspects that all scooter enthusiasts should know about the model. The models come in five colours Orange, Black, Red, Blue and Pearl Silver. The differences in the entry (LX), mid-level (VX) and top-level (ZX) are as follows:

1. Weight: The LX and VX have a kerb weight of 108 kgs, while the ZX weighs 109 kgs.

2. Brakes: The ZX variety's front 190mm disc brakes are the differentiating factor. While all three, ZX, VX and LX, have rear 130mm drum brakes, the VX and LX have a front 130mm drum brake.

3. Wheel: The rear 12-inch alloy wheel for the ZX variant stands out as a perfect spec for this high flier.

2. Segment-First Cornering Lights

Cornering lights are a premium feature we generally see in cars and are now featured in Hero Xoom 110cc. The cornering lights illuminate when the scooter bends to take a left or right. This safety feature is generated through a gyroscope and accelerometer sending a signal to the cornering lights. The cornering lights are activated only during motion and not otherwise.

3. Main Features

The Hero Xoom 110cc scooter supports Bluetooth connectivity providing a hassle-free informative ride. Important prompts featured on the panel are speed, distance travelled, clock and fuel gauge. This high-end panel is for the top ZX variant only, while the LX and VX models have been provided with a different backlight. The entry-level LX variant is equipped with a semi-digital cluster and USB charger.

Another major security feature the scooter provides is the “Track My vehicle” feature, a complete win-over.

All said and done, the most attractive aspect of the scooter is that it is provided with an array of lights. Apart from the cornering lights, the Hero Xoom 110cc has an LED projection lamp. A projection lamp lights up far as the eyes can see. Deep lights are a must in long stretches of rural darkness. The Hero Xoom 110cc synthesises the Hero Vida V1 and the TVS NTorq125.

Another safety feature for a steady and secure bike is its alloy wheels. A wider rim is a first for a scooter from the Hero stable.

The under-seat lamp is an important detail that more expensive scooters sometimes overlook. A light in the storage section is helpful ad provided in the Xoom.

External fuel-filler access is sadly missing, but it is not a dampener to decide against it. Overall the positives are plenty for the Hero Xoom 110cc and at that price!

4. Performance

The same engine that drives the Hero Plus and Maestro Edge has been used for the Hero Xoom 110cc. The single-cylinder 110.9cc air-cooled engine vrooms off at a maximum of 8 bhp and 8.7 Nm of peak torque with a 5750 rpm. The engine has been tuned to provide the most effective torque peak for a smooth run. The high acceleration performance ensures a rather active delivery and is ideal for city congestion.

5. Dimensions

The Hero Xoom 110cc boasts a seat height of 770 mm. The ground clearance is 155 mm, and the vehicle height of 1118 mm. The length is 1881 mm which provides a comfortable seating area. The wheelbase is 130mm, and it sports tubeless tyres.

Overall the Hero Xoom 110cc scooter is superbly priced for the Indian market and hopes to become a leader in its segment. Yes, the popularity of the Honda Activa is immensely large to dislodge it from its numero uno position, but the Xoom sure is a winner.
